Cookie policy

Every cookie and browser storage item jupitex.ai uses, what it is for, and how long it lasts. Last updated 23 Oct 2026 · JupiteX Private Limited.

The short version

The JupiteX website sets two first-party cookies, both needed to keep you signed in securely. It also stores some preferences and progress in your browser's local storage so pages load the way you left them. A few third-party services run on specific pages (sign-in, the bot check and payment) and can set their own technical cookies; they are listed below. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels.

Because everything we store is either strictly necessary or a preference you set, we do not show a cookie consent banner. If we ever add analytics or anything not needed to run the site, we will ask first. Because we do not track you, browser signals such as Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control need no extra action from us: there is nothing to opt out of.

Name

kc_session

Keeps you signed in. Set by jupitex.ai, not readable by page scripts (HttpOnly), sent only over HTTPS.

30 days, or until you sign out

csrf_token

Protects your account against cross-site request forgery by checking that requests come from our own pages.

30 days

Browser storage

Local storage stays in your browser until you sign out, clear it, or the site removes it. It is not sent to us automatically with each request.

Local and session storage

Key

auth_token

The sign-in token the web app uses to call our API.

Until you sign out

auth-storage

Remembers that you are signed in and your basic profile, so pages do not flash a signed-out state.

jx:stale-chunk-reload-at

Session storage. Stops the page reloading in a loop after we release an update.

Until you close the tab

jx-theme, mk-theme, fj-theme, theme

Your light or dark theme choice.

Functional

Until cleared

jupitex_current_page

The last page you were on, so the app reopens there.

jupitex_learn_progress, jupitex_neet_progress

A local copy of your reading progress, so it shows before the server responds.

jupitex_bookmarks

Your saved items on this device.

jupitex_search_recent

Your recent searches on this device.

jupitex_tutorial_done

Whether you have finished the introductory tour.

user_interests

The interests you picked, so recommendations load quickly.

jx-marketing-sound

Whether sound is on or off on our marketing pages.

Chapter selection keys

The chapter or topic you last selected in an exam section.

Third parties

The typefaces on our pages are served from our own servers. Showing them does not send your IP address or browser details to a font provider such as Google Fonts.

These services run on our pages. They are set up by the provider, not by us, and their own policies apply to what they store:

Policy

Cloudflare

Every page: protects and speeds up jupitex.ai (security filtering, content delivery).

Short-lived technical cookies for bot protection and security (for example __cf_bm), only when its protection runs.

cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Cloudflare Turnstile

Sign-in and sign-up pages: checks that the visitor is a person, without a puzzle.

Short-lived technical data to complete the check. Not used to track you across sites.

Google Sign-In

Sign-in and sign-up pages: the Sign in with Google button and prompt. Its script loads when those pages open, before you press anything.

Google may set a cookie (for example g_state, which remembers that you dismissed the prompt) and receives your IP address and browser details.

policies.google.com/privacy

Cashfree Payments

The payment page, only when you pay on the web.

Its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud.

cashfree.com/privacy-policy

Signing in with Apple takes you to Apple's page, which is covered by Apple's own policy. We use none of these services to show you advertising or to build a profile of you.

The iOS and Android apps

The apps do not use cookies. They store your sign-in securely on the device (Keychain on iOS, encrypted storage on Android) and keep preferences and progress in app storage. They do not use an advertising identifier and do not track you across other apps.

Your control

You can delete cookies and local storage for jupitex.ai in your browser settings at any time. Signing out removes the sign-in items. If you block the two strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in; clearing functional items only resets your preferences.
